News at Ingenue for the 18th of December!

The first outfit I snuck out earlier this week.  Let it Snow is a set of three winter/Christmas themed dresses in Holly Berry, Evergreen and Frost with a bolero sweater in Icicle.

Caroline’s Jewelry just released necklaces, bracelets and rings that go perfectly with it too!  Aren’t they lovely?

Next up is a ballgown perfect for all those holiday parties!  Sparkle without bling.  Starbright…

Lastly, new pin-up hair… Ms. Page, styled after the lovely Bettie Page’s iconic hairstyle.

Goodbye Ms. Page…

A truly lovely lady passed away yesterday.  Bettie Page has been one of the great influences over my own personal style, and I felt I couldn’t let her passing go by without doing a little something in her honor.  I think what really made her stand out from the rest was the joy and spirit she brought to her photos — she always looked to be enjoying herself thoroughly!

Stop by the shop to pick up this little gift I’ve set out as a tribute to a wonderful lady.

Lots of New Releases Today at Ingenue!

I’ve been workin’ my little tail off!    Three new outfits today!

First is Daughter of Shanghai, an elegant 1930’s Asian inspired evening gown and day dress set.  Daughter of Shanghai is offered in five shades — Twilight, Scarlet, Midnight, Golden Child and Surf.  All proceeds from Surf go to the Shine charity and will only be available until December 31st, 2008.

Next, we have Grace, a flirty little strapless dress with bolero jacket. Grace is offered in four shades — Prussian Blue, Midnight, Mauve and Merlot.

Lastly, we have East West.  You’ll probably recognize this from the Peace on Earth hunt.  Now available in four more colours — Teal, Sky, Purple Haze and Midnight.

Newness at Ingenue!

A lovely, if I do say so myself , little brocade cocktail dress with tintable sculptie corsage.

Also, Ingenue is part of the Peace on Earth gridwide hunt which started today!   Stop by my shop and touch the Peace on Earth poster to get the starting locations.   Caroline’s Jewelry and Mela’s of the Lo Lo sim are part of the hunt as well … you won’t want to miss their goodies.

My Windlight Settings :)

I’ve put my Windlight settings online.  These are the settings I use when I create my outfits now, so all the prims are set to match the clothing layers under these lighting conditions. Older Ingenue outfits may still require some prim tinting to match under Windlight.  These are based on Gogo’s tutorial… Thanks Gogo!

Here’s where you put the xml files:

Mac

Version 1.21 and earlier:

In Applications folder, right-click “Second Life”, select “Show Package Contents”, then open Contents > Resources > app_settings > windlight >skies

Version 1.22 and later:

In Your Home Folder, Library > Application Support > Second Life > user_settings > windlight > skies

(I’m hoping this change in location will make it so that Mac users don’t have to reset their windlight settings everytime there is an update!)

Windows

C:\Program Files\SecondLife\app_settings\windlight

Those on Windows can also find a 3rd Party Windlight Settings installer by Namssor Daguerre here.

Linux

The folder that contains the “secondlife” boot script (example: ~/Desktop/SecondLife_i686_1_18_5_74061_WINDLIGHT/). Its exact location depends on where you extracted the viewer .bz2 archive after downloading it.

And finally, this is where I got the instructions for installation if you need more details.  I have a Mac so the Windows and Linux directions are just copied and pasted from there. (if they’re wrong, tis not my fault )

Ingenue Peace on Earth Gridwide Hunt Preview…

Just a little sneak peek at what the Peace on Earth Hunt gift will be at Ingenue.  I was inspired by a mix of east and west… the east represented by the cheongsam style dress and the corset being the western influence.

East West…

(and yes…now I have the Morrissey song stuck in my head. )

Hunt starts on the 2nd!  More information to come.

New Releases Today at Ingenue!

Hello all!

Two new releases at Ingenue today!  First is a cozy fall outfit with high-waisted cuffed trousers and off the shoulder sweater that can be worn tucked or untucked.

Next up is a cocktail dress with corset look bodice that comes with belted pencil skirt and full flexi skirt.

Ingenue has moved! Gifts and Newness Abound!

Hi everyone!

I’m happy to announce that Ingenue has moved to the Lo Lo sim!  Our new neighbors are Caroline’s Jewelry and coming soon… Mela’s!  To celebrate, I’ve set up a little hunt!  Placed around the inside of the store are three  wee gift boxes.  I didn’t make the hunt very hard… the boxes aren’t too too tiny, and they are all in fairly plain site.   The pic below shows what the boxes look like.  If you find one just buy it for L$0 and it will give you the contents.  Each box contains a previously released Ingenue outfit in a new “hunt only” colour.  The hunt will run through next Sunday. (November 23rd)

Also, a new release is out!  Bye Bye Baby is a tweedy pencil skirted dress in fall colour combinations and comes with two flexi drape options.

Finally, Ingenue is changing from Subscribe-o-Matic to the Hippo group system.  Please come and touch the sign to be added to the new group.  As a thank you for rejoining, when you join the group sign it will give you the Bye Bye Baby dress in Plum!

I’m letting the two groups overlap for a bit, so once you have joined the new group please touch the sign below it to take yourself out of the old group and avoid getting duplicate notices.
